8/22/11 Scrimmage DSC 95 Lady Green vs MUFC

It was great to see the girls on the field in a game last night. Coach Johnny shared some thoughts about the girls' play:

"Good job during the scrimmage tonight. We were able to move the ball up the field well. We had a lot of opportunities to score and we had good play out of the defense. We need to improve on keeping our shape and rotating the ball out of pressure and into space as well as dropping the ball back. Let’s continue to work hard to improve our game." -Johnny

League Schedules and Team Calendar

Our 2011 Fall challenge League schedules have been posted to the South Carolina Youth Soccer website. I have added a link on the right side of this site under the Stuff You Need Section. It is SCSCL League Schedule & Standings. That will take you to our site on the SCYSA website. It shows our roster, our schedule and the league standings all on one page.

I have added all of the league games to the Team Calendar which can also be accessed via a link under the Stuff You Need section. The entries for each game include the name of the field and it's physical address. In addition there is a link to a Google map so that you can get directions.

Team Bonding Party a Success!

What a great time the girls had at our first team get together! It was a little rainy but were able to hang out at the large pavilion at Manchester. Lots of corn hole, team bonding games, food, cake and crazy pictures. See the slideshow below to see for yourself ;)

Team Bonding Party - August 5, 6-9pm

In preparation for our upcoming season, we would like to have a an ice breaker party for players, parents and siblings. We will be spending alot of time together this fall and want to make sure everyone has a chance to to meet each other before we head off to the field. We will have hamburgers and hot dogs and ask each family to bring a party snack (chips, pretzels, fruit, etc.) or a a dessert to share. RSVP with the number of people that you will be bringing.

The party is this Friday, August 5 from 6-9pm. It is being held at the Seven Oaks pool and clubhouse in Rock Hill.

Directions: Take Dave Lyle Blvd to Springsteen Blvd (Next to Target). Go .2 miles then turn left onto Evelyn. Go another .2 miles and turn right onto Craven Hill. At stop sign turn left onto Seven Oaks. Club house and pool are at the top of the hill.
